Given the bond between the symbiote and Gwen is far more profound than that of Venom's; they have bonded so completely, they refer to themselves as "I" instead of "We". The suit gives the ability to adhere to most surfaces with its hands and feet; project a web-like substance from any part of the body; form a variety of weapons; shoot tendrils from any part of the body; and plant thoughts into a person's head using an attached symbiote tendril. The symbiote is also vampiric, feeding on life-force and thus endangering victims by mere touch. Like Venom, the symbiote is also undetectable to Spider-Man's spider-sense.
The bond that Gwen and the Carnage symbiote share is that Gwen cannot exist without the symbiote and vice versa. If one is killed or seriously wounded, so is the other. As Carnage, Gwen has no control or memory of being Carnage, though the symbiote shares all of her memories. Its voice is high-pitched and doubled. The suit itself can vary; either close fitting to the body of Gwen or swarming with symbiote tendrils.
Like all symbiotes, its weakness is loud piercing sounds and intense heat.
